Dr. Sue Fluhr

I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1983, working as a nurse primarily in hospice care. After 10 years in nursing, I had a change of heart and applied for and was accepted to veterinary school. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. Since, I have dedicated my life to helping animals. After working in Milwaukee and Brown Deer for several years, I fulfilled a lifelong dream and opened Tender Touch Veterinary Care in 2005. 

I have been awarded "Seeing Eye Veterinarian of the Year" (2004) and was awarded "Volunteer of the Year" (2005) by the Golden Retriever Rescue of Wisconsin (GRRoW). I have fostered several smart, funny, loving Golden Retrievers through GRRoW. 

Currently, I have one cat (Oliver) and two dogs, a Golden Retriever (Lucy) and a Chinese Crested (Max). 

The most rewarding part of my job is educating and helping clients keep their pets healthy. Of course, what I enjoy the most are puppy kisses and happy kitten purrs.
